In this session, attendees will learn the psychology behind points competency including why it’s natural to feel discouraged or overwhelmed especially as a beginner in the hobby and why that doesn’t mean they’re bad at points. Attendees will learn the 4 phase of points competency, how to know which phase they’re in, and concrete strategies for improving their points competency. This is a session aimed at beginners, but even intermediate to advanced level points people will learn valuable takeaways.

We will show how miles are earned on flights (AA, AS, BA, etc.) We will talk about shortcuts to status (Instant Status Pass). Most importantly, why you should get status and how to leverage it for upgrades, rewards, and award flights.

 in this session, we will do a deep dive into a Hilton product change strategy that will illustrate a step-by-step action plan for “high spenders” to earn up to 1 million points and 12 free night rewards in two years or a “regular spender” to earn at minimum $200 in Hilton credits, $100 in flight credits, $400 in resort credits, 90,000 Hilton Honors points and 2 free night certificates after opening just ONE credit card. Learn The Value + Perks of Alaska Airlines’ New Mileage Plan Program (Betsey Wilson)

Betsey will discuss the changes to Alaska Airlines’ loyalty program, including the ability to earn Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs) on award travel, new ways to earn EQMs, and elevated EQMs on partner airlines. She explains that EQMs earned on award travel will reflect towards future elite status on Alaska Airlines. Betsey also dives into the new 2025 Mileage Plan updates, which include updated milestones, earning EQMs on partner airlines when booking through Alaska Airlines, the ability to earn EQMs on non-airline partners like car rentals, hotels, cruises, an rideshare services. She emphasize the importance of knowing what the fine print is on these new perks.
